Where We Live | July Edition

Ten acres of blueberries, in the city, and free to pick. This is Where I Live.

This month we enjoyed the delights of picking berries at Charlotte’s Blueberry Park.

The very next morning, these yummy berries went into Blueberry Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes, adapted from here.

We enjoyed the hunt so much that we visited the park again.

This time we spotted Charlotte hiding in the bushes.

We even found a few blackberries.

We left with another abundance of berries, enough to try this Blueberry Cream Cheese Pie and these Blueberry Sour Cream Muffins.

Now that you’ve had your fill of blueberries, please continue along the Where We Live Blog Circle to check out life as experienced by the other talented photographers in the group. Next up is my PNW neighbor Kersten Green.

Boating | Lake Washington

For the Fourth of July, we enjoyed a day on Lake Washington with Leif & Stacie.

Boat1

Heleina pretended to drive the boat, while Uncle Leif actually let Quintin & Satchel take control of the helm under his guidance.

Boat3

Aunt Stacie led the high-speed rafting adventures.

Then, we put down the anchor to explore the depths of the lake.

And cool off with a swim.

It was a fun day, and we can’t wait to do it all over again. Hint, hint.
