Where We Live | July Edition

Ten acres of blueberries, in the city, and free to pick. This is Where I Live.

This month we enjoyed the delights of picking berries at Charlotte’s Blueberry Park.

The very next morning, these yummy berries went into Blueberry Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes, adapted from here.

We enjoyed the hunt so much that we visited the park again.

This time we spotted Charlotte hiding in the bushes.

We even found a few blackberries.

We left with another abundance of berries, enough to try this Blueberry Cream Cheese Pie and these Blueberry Sour Cream Muffins.

Now that you’ve had your fill of blueberries, please continue along the Where We Live Blog Circle to check out life as experienced by the other talented photographers in the group. Next up is my PNW neighbor Kersten Green.

  1. Wow! How awesome is that that your whole town can enjoy fresh blueberries! There is something so special about picking and eating fruit right off the tree/bush. Loved your photos this month!

  2. Ha ha! We are also picking blueberries over on my blog! It must be a NW thing. I love the purples and blues in your images. And, your kids are so beautiful. I love seeing a different part of the NW through your eyes.

  3. I’ve been dieing to go pick blueberries! Looks like your adorable kiddos had a fabulous time! I love all the detail shots you captured, to really savor the experience!
